Mr. Allen’s goal was for us to create a “park-like” setting in his backyard. We achieved this through a masonry stone wall that retained an elevated flower bed for which Mr. Allen to plant his annuals without having to kneel on the ground. Connecting the side walkway to the elevated deck and the backyard was particularly challenging. A modular block system combined with stone treads was utilized to create a seamless transition for the three elements.
