This home had a patio that reminded people of a cold ice rink. It had a stucco wall perimeter and wall-to-wall concrete patio; no warmth whatsoever. This space was transformed into three great spaces: a dining space, a courtyard space, and a fire pit area. The concrete was removed around the edges to make room for boxwood and hydrangea, a fountain now brings your eye to the center of the patio and is enjoyed from the comfort of the living room as well. A built-in grill located right off the kitchen makes it easy for both everyday grilling and entertaining.
