Located in Inverness, Illinois, the Chang Project was anything but ordinary. The house had a walkout basement which needed to have access from the main level driveway. Grades and drainage were the biggest challenge. We proposed a very dramatic waterfall that was comprised of a combination of outcropping stone and two types of granite boulders. A contemplation area was also created for meditation right in the heart of the waterfall and pond – sure to add to the serenity of the experience. The falls tied into requisite groups of limestone slab steps, outcropping stone, and boulders that were adorned with a variety of shrubs, perennials and groundcovers.
